Welcome to MarketWatch Monday.
Let’s see what the FBA business sales marketplace has been doing last week..
Sold Amazon FBA Listings
This week we found five sold Amazon FBA businesses and no pending sales totaling $566K. The median multiple of the sold listings was 1.8x of annual net profit, which is significantly down compared to last weeks 3x. This is due to all the sold listings being under the $200K price point.
There were two delisted businesses found this week and nine listings that were no longer available (either sold or delisted), with a total list price value of $4.2MM.
In total (sold, pending, delisted & unknown) that takes $4.8MM in listings off the marketplace this week.
New Amazon FBA Listings
Fifteen listings came to market this week, ranging from $40K – 18MM. Interestingly, the highest priced listing was the only listing with proprietary products. This demonstrates the real difference proprietary products can make to the valuation of your business when going to sale.
he median list price multiple is up this week to 3.3x annual net profit. The median multiple for business under the $500K price point was 2.6x. Whereas, the median multiple for business above $1MM price point was 4x.
