MWM: 26 Sold for $64.7MM, 9 New Listings

October 1, 2018 By coran

Welcome to MarketWatch Monday.

Here’s what happened in FBA business sales this week…

Sold Amazon FBA Listings

This week we found 26 sold Amazon FBA businesses and nine pending sales totalling $68.6MM. The median multiple of the sold listings was 3.4x of annual net profit.

However we note that one broker is the bulk of these with 20 of the 26 listings. 80% of these were previously pending, so it seems they have cleaned house and done a huge update all at once.

There were three delisted businesses found this week and six listings that are no longer available (either sold or delisted), with a list price value of $3.9MM.

In total (sold, pending, delisted & unknown) that takes $72.5MM in listings off the marketplace this week.

New Amazon FBA Listings

9 new listings came to market this week, ranging from $30K-930K. Interestingly only 4 of the 9 are Amazon dependant with the other 5 stating multiple sales channels.

The median list price multiple is up this week to 2.3x annual net profit. The sub $500k list price median multiple is only 2x however, there were no new listing above $1M this week.

That’s all for this week’s FBA MarketWatch Monday. For access to the new listing links every week, sign up for the FBA Business Price Guide.
