MWM: 5 Sold For $1.9M, 10 New Listings

August 14, 2018 By coran

Welcome to MarketWatch Monday. Here’s what happened in FBA sales this week…

Sold Amazon FBA Listings

This week we found 5 sold Amazon FBA businesses and no pending sales totalling $1.9M. The average multiple of the 5 listings was 2.33x of annual net profit.

The 2nd largest sold listing this week (approx $500k) took a whopping 533 days to sell. That’s almost a year and a half! During this time we noticed it was relisted 7 times by the broker. Despite having good margins of approximately 46%, it was likely the 1000+ SKU’s which is a lot for this price range that scared buyers off.

No delisted businesses were found this week but there were 4 listings that are no longer available (either sold or delisted), with a list price value of $3.1MM.

In total (sold, pending, delisted & unknown) that takes $5MM in listings off the marketplace this week. The exact same amount as last week.

New Amazon FBA Listings

10 new listings came to market this week, ranging from $1.5k- $5MM. Interestingly, 60% of these new listings are from private sellers representing themselves as all bar one are small listings under $120k.

The median list price multiple is up only slightly to 2.86x from 2.8x.

That’s all for this week’s FBA MarketWatch Monday. For access to the new listing links every week, sign up for the FBA Business Price Guide.
