MWM: 3 Sold for $5.8MM, 14 New Listings

September 3, 2018 By coran

Welcome to MarketWatch Monday. It’s Labor Day here in the States but with so much action is the sales space we’ve still got your MWM update.

So here’s what happened in FBA business sales this week…

Sold Amazon FBA Listings

This week we found 3 sold small Amazon FBA businesses and 9 pending sales this week totaling $50.5M. The median multiple of the listings was 3.8x of annual net profit.

It’s worth noting one broker appeared to update a bunch of listings to pending all at once. It may not mean that these all went under contract this past week but more likely over the past month of August.

There were 4 delisted businesses found this week and 11 listings that are no longer available (either sold or delisted), with a list price value of $8.1MM.

In total (sold, pending, delisted & unknown) that takes $58.6MM in listings off the marketplace this week.

Income: $16,519,505
Net Profit: $2,310,996

14 new listings came to market this week, ranging from $12k – $13MM. 29% of new listings are $1MM or above with the other 67% being $500 or under.

Despite two eight-figure listings, the median list price multiple is down to 2.5x from 2.9x due to the huge drops we’re seeing in the lower end of the market. The sub $500k list price median multiple is only 1.9x, whereas the above $1MM listings are at a 3.9x median multiple.

That’s all for this week’s FBA MarketWatch Monday. For access to the new listing links every week, sign up for the FBA Business Price Guide.
