FBA MarketWatch Monday 2 July 2018

July 2, 2018 By coran

Welcome to MarketWatch Monday, here’s what happened in FBA sales this week…

Sold Amazon FBA Listings

This week we found 4 sold Amazon FBA businesses and 1 pending sale totalling $840k. The average multiple of the 5 listings was 2.24x of annual net profit.

The largest sold listing was a Private Label brand in the Baby niche listed at $510k. Despite having a good margin of 34% this business took 155 days (or 5.2 months) from list to close. During this time we saw 2 price drops and final multiple was 3.37x which included inventory however this may not reflect the actual cash at close the seller received.

3 delisted businesses were found this week and there were 9 other listings that are no longer available (either sold or delisted), with a combined list price value of $17.5MM.

In total (sold, pending, delisted & unknown) that takes $18.4MM in listings off the marketplace this week.

New Amazon FBA Listings

13 new listings came to market again this week, ranging from $50k-$1.4MM. 5 listings this week are noted as being in business for over 10 years which is quite unusual in this space.

The median list price multiple is down again this week to 2.1x from 2.41x despite some older well-established businesses which you would expect to bump the multiples a little higher.

That’s all for this week’s FBA MarketWatch Monday. For access to the new listing links every week, sign up for the FBA Business Price Guide.
